I’m Corbin.

I’m not a theologian. I’m not a pastor. I’m not a poet in the classical sense.
I’m just someone who’s walked through the pages of Scripture and found myself changed—and I wanted to respond the best way I knew how: with verse, honesty, and a heart full of worship.

Extol: A Poetic Journey Through Scripture was born out of a personal spiritual rhythm—reading the Bible one book at a time, reflecting, praying, and listening for what the Spirit might be saying. The words that came felt more like responses than creations, more like prayers than poetry.

This project isn’t about having the right answers. It’s about asking real questions, meeting God in the tension, and trusting that His presence is enough. If even one line in these pages draws someone closer to the heart of God, then I’ll count it all worth it.

Why I Wrote Extol

Because sometimes, study isn't enough—we need to feel our faith.
Because poetry helps slow the soul.
Because God is still speaking—and we can still respond.
Because there’s beauty in letting Scripture become personal.​

In everyday life, I enjoy spending time with my lovely wife Sara and my incredible boys, Lincoln and Fenix. I am an elementary school teacher by trade and spend most of my time on that calling on my life.
